if you don't have A#, couple of options.. nuv f1 ayite, check your OPT EAD card.. daani mida A# untadi. it's the same thing. in fact nenu first time OPT to H1 convert ayinapudu, first i797 mida undi same A#. For some reason, later i797 mida (extension, amendment etc) mida ledu enduko.

if you didn't do OPT, then there is another way. Nearest USCIS field office lo appointment theesukoni vellu. vallani adigite cheptaru ni A#. Here is the website to make appointment. https://my.uscis.gov/appointment. Actually ask them for i140 copy. rules prakaram vallu neku ivvakudadu because i140 is associated with the employer as they are the petitioner.
