Why Dangal's huge success may be scary.

Forget the stupid boycott. Those losers never learn.

Despite demonetization affecting people's spending habits, in general, a lot of people turned up to watch the movie. It says two things.

1. People still value entertainment as an important part of their life, in the midst of some inconveniences.

2. There's a section of people who were actually affected by demonetization (plenty of people lost jobs and livelihood) cannot even afford to watch movies anymore. Or their numbers are too small to be registered significantly in the box office.

--------

Number 1 is fine.

Number 2 is scary. Right now we see the aspiring middle class fighting for their right to move up the ladder (by supporting Modi). What if the disillusioned people (people who can't afford to watch movies) start fighting? There's going to be an ugly class war.

Also as the number of people who can't afford to watch movies grow, the losers who called for boycott of the movie will have more power within the group that afford to watch movies.

-----------

Conclusion: India is fcuked. Thanks to Dangal.

Movies must be banned, or taxed at twice the rates of regular activity.

You know that your analysis is not going to help anyone right?.... whether is correct or wrong is separate topic altogether but the situation is much more complicated than to be confined into TWO THINGS....

My intention has always been to help myself. For eg. which places to avoid, which kind of people to avoid, etc.

Also this is not an analysis. Just random observation. It is mostly wrong too. I am completely aware of that.
