It is known that Megastar Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No.150 has opened to phenomenal numbers in overseas as well as the Telugu states. Mega fans and the distributors have every reason to celebrate this earth shattering opening but don't be complacent yet as the real game will begin in next few hours.

The opening numbers are excellent but the talk for Khaidi No.150 is largely average to above average. A promising film Balayya's GPSK is hitting theatres in next few hours and if this film receives unanimous positive talk, that turns the tables for Khaidi and make it suffocate. A good number of theatres will also lose from the grip of Chiru starrer. Silent Killer Shatamanam Bhavathi too can trouble Khaidi, as the former is already on positive buzz. 

In overseas, Khadi has collected over $1 million from premiers but the breakeven is close to $3 million. GPS, a historical subject and SB, a family entertainer, have more scope than a commercial entertainer in this part of the world. With even similar talk, overseas audiences might prefer the latter films than Khaidi.

Coming to the Telugu states, Khaidi No.150 currently has an edge, in terms of star power and theatre count, over the other two releases but its fate largely depends on the word of mouth of GPSK and SB. Given the changing tastes of Telugu audiences, fresh films might be encouraged rather than a commercial film. Moreover, rights of Khaidi have been sold for exorbitant prices.
