Now the DoD has come back and said that they can't do anything on time and so have given up on this program indirectly, Army says there's nothing we can do about it. When you enlist, you take an oath on the US flag and also sign a contract. That contract should be respected by both the parties. There are some MAVNIs who have PhD qualifications, and they can possibly work for DoD in the future. Plus there are other fields like Cybersecurity, Cryptography etc which need security clearance which most immigrants don't necessarily have.
