TN govt made it very hard for anyone to get an Aadhar. I know it because my mom's friends used to ask to her about how she got Aadhar so soon. My mom lived in AP then.

But after BJP came in, it made Aadhar compulsory for cheap household gas cylinders, and Jayalalitha had no other way, other than to implement Aadhar, because Tamils didn't want to miss out on that cheap gas cylinder. Now you understand?
