Ranganath -- Cancer Fund

Ranganath Chakra, needs your help.  After being misdiagnosed for months, he has now learned he has Stage 4 lung cancer despite being a non-smoker his entire life.  Maybe you’re as surprised as I was that a non-smoker, especially one who is only 29 years old, could have lung cancer.  But, according to the American Cancer Society’s website, between 17,000 and 26,000 people who have never regularly smoked cigarettes die from lung cancer every year in the U.S.  Shocked?  Me too.

Rangath was originally given a diagnosis of bronchitis and treated for that.  After feeling worse and worse he went to the hospital.  After many tests it was determined that he has stage 4 lung cancer. His prognosis is grim…….he has only about a year left to live. We were stunned and now realize if this can happen to Ranganath, it can happen to any of us. The cancer has caused brain lesions so he is not himself but is still trying to work to support his family.  It is doubtful he’ll be able to continue working much longer.

Ranganath has been married to his wonderful wife for 3 years and they have two lovely children, a 7 year old and a 1 year old. Sadly, they will grow up without their father and the 1 year old will probably not even remember him.

I am asking that we all come together and donate what we can in order to cover his medical costs and living expenses so he can spend as much time as possible with his family before the good Lord calls him home. Can you find it in your heart to help make his last year with us a little easier?  He and his family and friends will appreciate it.
