Telugu Toddler with speech delay-Please help

One of my friends kids went to speech therapy and picked up. But as suggested most others take him to play dates library zoo etc to meet other kids. Kids pick up a lot from their parents even communication. Enough preaching done here so I won't do. Personally I think it is a stupid idea to call grand parents to take care. You will live with kids for most part so face it and solve it. Do the research and work harder.

Naa elder son ni preschool lo vesaka vaala teacher idey cheppindhi..he tells all alphabets and numbers.. kani social ga vundadu.. he cant form senternce annadhi.. and requested us for speech theraphy(This happened in november 2016)..

 

SPeech theraphy is costly here just to evaluate a kid in atlanta, they are charging 1200$. i booked an appointment. They gave appointment in feb 3rd week(its really hard to get appointment)

then we started talking with him more.. TV lo rhymes cut down chesam .. Thanatho paint games ,daily night story reading, play dough and whatsapp lo voice messages petticchatam start chesa, saradaga maa naanna daily night "Thata i had my dinner..so and so ani nenu cheppatam vaditho repeat cheyyichatam.. intial ga chese vadu kadu.. play back lo mana voice vini vallaki interest vasthundhi..

 

Believe me i saw a huge change in 4 weeks.. December lo vadiki yearly checkup vundi.. we said the speech therapy recommendation to Pediatrician.. Avasaram ledu.. annadu.. but still am going with evaluation as i dont want miss anything if really required.

 

Jan 1st week , maa vadi school mid report ani iccharu.. his teacher asked us.. what you guys are doing.. he improved a lot ani..

 

First we need to change our life style.. manam kids ki IPADS, mobiles or TVlo rhymes pettesi mana pani manam chesukuntam.. thats wrong.. evening time antha mee freind ni thana kid to spend cheyyi manu..it will be good. One more imp thing.. evaro okkallani only english and okkalu only telugu matladamanu..dont ever switch languages.. so that they will learn both with out confusion..

Exactly same story with my son..Konni small changes vunnai anthe..We went rough phase with him..Memu chala tension paddamu inka rvaata ledhu matalu  ani..ikkada doctor kuda adhe cheppindhi me vadu late baga ..take him some where anii

We did same redcuing ipad time and taking him out to malls and local swimming classes and daily concentrating on him more ..

.Ma neighbor smae age papa..She tells stories and movie story clear ga..That made us lot worrisome .Dot listen to the doctors here on speech delay.. We waste lot of money in evaluating him with different doctors and speech therpaist and did down syndrome tests and took to Autism specialist glad autism ledhu..

Ikkada speech therapy waste basu...Now he is in india for past 4 months ..Maa inlaws and my wife fed up with his questions and talking..He is talking nonstop after going to India.

 

Things i can suggest or recommend in this case for you:

1)Spend more time with your kids min 2-3 hours if posible..Limiting ipad/TV .

2)Taking to areas with kids of same age like swimming classes or parks or neighbor houses..Need more interaction

3)India pampisthee inka better..for sure you will see the results..

or get grandparents baa.....if you cant go to india......valaki kuda happy untundhi kids tho spend chesthea 

dont get me wrong bro...dont think about money(flight tickets ani).....get grand parents,,,,,kids perigea age lo lonely la feel avodhu, grandparents ki kuda, kid thonea sari pothundhi....so win win situation 

grandparents untea constant interaction untundhi.....thokkalo psychological issues ravu kaka........Day cares are good too, but kids get sick baa, we cant see them suffering

Lite man.. 90% of the Indian kids here have the same problem.. Oka 3 to 4 years varaku maatladaru..

Send him to india for 6 months .. my colleague did the same .. results are extraordinary .. 

reason - there will be plenty of kids around him and he will pick up from them

maa apartments lo 4-5 kids dhi idhe paristhithi ... kondharu parenst resist to agree their kid need special attention .... ... one kid used to bite other kids becaz he get frustrated when other kids speaking and playing ...last ki school lo teachers suggest chesthy they send their kid to speech therapy

 

maa daggaraa ee program free ... even they came to home and pickup kid and lunch kuda provide chestharu ... I see kids improve lot after they join speech therapy school

Maa mummy cheppedi ..... nenu 5 yrs varaku ....only one word maatlaadenu anta ........5th year when my parents got scared wether i will speak or not because they had to send me to school ....... now i in Sales ...... i only talk...... :-) lol......

Friends circle lo kids ni observe cheste adhe anupinchindi. India lo perigina pillallu tvaraga maatalu nerchukuntunnaru ikkada valla kante.
