AWS is a fad it will pass soon.

Once the cloud implementation is done, they won't need your services. So mostly short term (3-4 months) projects untayi AWS lo. Being a Java Dev is better in the long term anyday.

LONG Term ante edi better .. even BIGData kuda lots of people ..

Long term ante you need the following below

1) Strong development skills in Java or Scala, preferably both

2) Big Data knowledge including Hadoop Ecosystem plus Apache Spark

3) Knowledge of Cloud implementation including AWS, OpenStack and Azure

4) Test driven development and it's understanding

5) Work with version controlling tools like GIT, build automation using Jenkins/Teamcity and release automation as well

6) Configuration management using Chef, Puppet and Ansible

7) Knowledge of ETL and tools for analytics like Tableau.

8) Knowledge of MongoDB or a noSQL database, not knowledge but expertise.

Ivanni unte you can get around $75-$80 in the current market, if not no jobs man.

Gone are the days when knowing one or two tools or having development experience in Java was sufficient to get a job.

you can still get a job with the above but your billing will be $40-$45/hr.
