The Supreme Court on Monday (January 30) appointed a four-member panel to run the daily affairs of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Former Comptroller and Auditor General of India Vinod Rai will head the panel that also includes Ramachandra Guha, Vikram Limaye and Diana Edulji.

Here's a look at the administrators who have been charged with the responsibility to run the world's richest cricket body:

Vinod Rai

Vinod Rai served as the 11th Comptroller and Auditor General of India from 2008 to 2013. The Havard educated Rai belongs to the 1972 batch cadre officer (Kerala) of Indian Administrative Service and started his career as the collector of Thrissur District. He went on to work with the Government of India under various capacities in the ministry of commerce, finance et al. He was known for raising the profile of the office of CAG and is credited for reporting the allocation of License of 2G spectrum which resulted in the revelation of a massive scam. Currently, he's chairman of United Nations Panel of External Auditors.

Ramachandra Guha

Ramchandra Guha is a noted historian, columnist and cricket writer who is based in Bangalore. He's known for his work in environmental history and has authored award-winning books including India after Gandhi and A Corner of a Foreign Field which talks about Indian cricket history. He has taught at the universities of Yale and Stanford, held the Arne Naess Chair at the University of Oslo and has also been a visiting professor at the University of California. He has been called one of the best non-fiction writers from India by international publications.

Diana Edulji

The lone sportsperson in the panel, Diana Edulji is a former India women cricket team captain with a 17-year long international career. She made her India debut in 1976, at the age of 20 years, and went on to play 20 Tests in which she took 63 wickets at 25.77 and scored 404 runs. Her ODI debut came two years later in 1978 against England. She played 34 matches in the format and picked up 46 wickets before retiring in 1993. For her sporting achievement, she received the Arjuna Award in 1983 and Padma Shri in 2002 - India's fourth highest civilian award.

Vikram Limaye

Vikram Limaye is the Managing Director and CEO of Infrastructure Development Finance Company Limited (IDFC). He's a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA degree from the United States of America. He has a rich experience of working in the finance industry in various roles. He has contributed to various committees of government and industry associations on a range of topics including infrastructure, economic policy, markets, trade, minority affairs among others.
