This is rubbish. The laws are already in place to ensure that you are hiring immigrants because you can't source people locally and that they are paid the same as everyone else. This is propaganda designed to make people think it is an isssue. It isn't. Please don't help to spread hate - investigate before you hit share. You're clever, just google L1 visa rules or H1b visa rules. I know about this because I am such an immigrant.

You're actually lying, or at least severely misinformed.

There are massive stories of Caterpillar, Disney, and other companies in the US replacing their entire US stafff in certain locations with H1-B visa holders. ...and making the US citizens they'
re replacing train them in how to do their jobs.

Grow up! Wake up!
Read some other news besides the Hollywood trash sites.

This has been a problem for the American citizen/worker through both Republican and Democrat led Presidencies and Congress.

wow. that is a particularly offensive post. FYI Disney at least has special arrangements with the immigration authorities for hiring foreigners, especially bi-lingual ones.

It might be more helpful to make your point with facts and links rather than slinging insults and dismissing someone's first hand experience.

Those laws etc are easily skirted around. This importing of tech labor has reduced wages for American tech workers. What is in your benefit or the benefit of employers is not necessarily in the benefit of American workers.

Brian, how can it be to the benefit of an immigrant worker if they are paid less than their US counterparts and unable to move to another company? The high wages commanded by tech workers in the USA is precisely because of a shortage of said qualified...See More

actually thats adhi anta ..https://lofgren.house.gov/uploadedfiles/high_skilled_bill_text.pdf

01/27/2017: H.R. 670, "High-Skilled Integrity and Fairness Act of 2017" Introduced in the House by Rep. Zoe Lofgren

  • This bill was introduced in the House on Tuesday, 01/24/2017. This bill proposed two reforms. One is to eliminate the H-1B Cap lottery system, replaced by the highest salary and other criteria in allocation of H-1B petitions. The other reform is to remove per country limitation to employment-based immigration visas which is identical to the bill which was introduced by Rep. Jason Chaffetz of Utah earlier. For summary, please click here. There are currently several H-1B reform bills in the House and the Senate. See report. There is also pending litigation to remove H-1B lottery system in the federal court in Oregon, which is scheduled to be decided in the near future. Other than the forthcoming court decision in Oregon, the H-1B reform legislative bills may not affect FY-2018 H-1B cap lottery since the legislation may take time.
