what the fcuk? do you even ask why Police should collect data of 'all citizens'? That too, when there is now a link id card called Aadhar? Its scary to be in India now. 

If what is written above is true, much more so in Hyderabad.

Police (the most honest group of individuals in India) have all your data, to book you in any crime they wish to book you for. Good luck.

Can you elaborate pros(if any) and cons?. just asking to gain some insight.

Details collecting is part of social security man. I will share my details if I have nothing to hide. Asale HYD lo ekkada em pelthado telvadhu. Its good if Govt could easily identify people.
