Dude, I did this last year, i know the full process... 

After u get the email, depending on where u are sending the passport, u have to open that location consulate website, i sent to new york , so i went to candaian embasy in newyork website, followed instructions

 

1) u need copy of money order u are gonna send to lock box separtely

2) letter u received to submit passport

3) passport

4) there willa document with your details (like name, email address, phone, mailing address)

5) consent form or something if u see website u will know

6) a self addressed return usps prepaid envope (that includes tracking) inside this envelope

 

All these things u will put in a prepaid usps envelope with Newyork candian embasy address u will send it along with tracking (most important as u are sending passport) 

 

Now the actual money order that time it was 36.09$ processing fee, u will be in a plane envolope with first class stamp u will mail to lock box address ...

You must submit your passport at the visa application centre (VAC) in New York

This can be done by mail or in person.

With your passport(s), make sure you include:

• The passport request letter you received from IRCC
• Any applicable visa application centre (VAC) fees, such as passport transmission fees
• Full contact information, including a phone number and your full return address
• The VAC consent form (PDF, 18 KB)
• A pre-paid return courier envelope, if applicable

Check the website of the New York VAC for all requirements and more information.  

 

The fee for the VAC service is US $36.09.

The fees can be paid by bank draft, cashier’s cheque, certified cheque, or money order directed to CSC Consular Services Inc. Personal checks are not accepted. Your payment (draft, check, etc.) must be sent to the following lockbox and you must send a copy of the payment along with your application to the VAC.
