పన్నీర్‌సెల్వం.. తమిళనాడు 'కేర్‌ టేకర్‌ సీఎం'.. పెద్ద బాంబే పేల్చేశారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి పదవికి ఇప్పటికే రాజీనామా చేసిన పన్నీర్‌సెల్వం, తాజాగా చెన్నయ్‌లోని జయలలిత సమాధి వద్ద ఈ రోజు రాత్రి 8 గంటల సమయంలో మౌనదీక్షకు దిగడంతో దేశమంతా షాక్‌కి గురయ్యింది. చాలాసేపు ఆయన అలాగే మౌనంగా వుండిపోయారు. మౌన దీక్ష ముగిసిన తర్వాత, మీడియాతో మాట్లాడారాయన. మాట్లాడటం కాదు, బాంబులు పేల్చేశారు.! 

జయలలితకు అత్యంత సన్నిహితుడే కాదు, భక్తుడు కూడా అయిన పన్నీర్‌సెల్వం.. జయలలిత ఆత్మ తనతో నిజాలు చెప్పిస్తోందంటూ మొదలు పెట్టారు. ఆ 'నిజాలు' ఏంటో తెలుసా.? తనంతట తానుగా పన్నీర్‌సెల్వం రాజీనామా చేయలేదట. తన మంత్రివర్గంలోనే కొందరు తన మీద ఒత్తిడి తీసుకొచ్చి, తనతో రాజీనామా చేయించారని చెప్పారాయన. ఆసుపత్రిలో చికిత్స పొందుతూ, జయలలిత తనను ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా కొనసాగమని చెబితే, దానికి విరుద్ధంగా శశికళ ముఖ్యమంత్రి అవ్వాలనుకున్నారని ఆరోపించారు పన్నీర్‌సెల్వం. జయలలిత సూచించిన మదుసూధన్ పార్టీ అధ్యక్ష పదవికి మేలని తాను చెబితే, శశికళ తిరస్కరించారన్నారాయన.

శశికళ విషయంలో జయలలిత అంత ఆసక్తి చూపలేదనీ, ప్రజలతో సత్సంబంధాలున్న వ్యక్తిని పార్టీ అధినేతగా నియమించాలని తనకు జయలలిత సూచించారనీ, పార్టీ అధ్యక్షుడు, ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఒకరైతేనే బాగుంటుందని తాను చెప్పానని, ఆ కారణంగా తాను ముఖ్యమంత్రి పదవిలో వుండడానికీ ఇష్టపడలేదనీ, ఆ విషయం జయలలితతోనూ చెప్పాననీ, ఆమే తనను ఒప్పించారనీ పన్నీర్‌సెల్వం చెప్పుకొచ్చారు. 

పార్టీ సమావేశానికిగానీ, ఎమ్మెల్యేల సమావేశానికిగానీ తనను ఆహ్వానించలేదన్న పన్నీర్‌సెల్వం, తనను ఇంతలా అవమానాలకు గురిచేయడం బాధ కలిగిందన్నారు. పార్టీ తన కారణంగా చీలిపోకూడదనే అన్ని అవమానాల్నీ భరించాననీ, ఈ రోజు ఈ మాటలన్నీ అమ్మ తనతో చెప్పించిందని ముక్తాయింపునిచ్చారు పన్నీర్‌సెల్వం. 

మొత్తమ్మీద, తమిళనాడు రాజకీయాల్లో ఇది చాలా పెద్ద కుదుపుగానే భావించాలి. ఓ పక్క శశికళ, శాసనసభాపక్ష నేతగా ఎంపికైనా, ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా పదవీ ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేయడానికి గవర్నర్‌ అపాయింట్‌మెంట్‌ దొరకని పరిస్థితి. ఇంకోపక్క, పన్నీర్‌సెల్వం తాజా 'తిరుగుబాటు' దెబ్బకి అన్నాడీఎంకే శాసనసభాపక్షం రెండుగా చీలిపోనుంది. ఇక ఇప్పుడు శశికళ పరిస్థితి అగమ్యగోచరం. కీలెరిగి వాత పెట్టడమంటే ఇదే మరి.!

1. When Amma was receiving treatment at Apollo+ , I was approached by party leaders to fulfill the responsibility of retaining the government and power. They said Amma had said party's presidium chairman E Madhusoodhanan should be made general secretary and I should be chief minister. I refused to agree to this.

2. They told me that no other name would be publicly acceptable to fill in her shoes. I did not want to bring shame the party, so I agreed.

3. Two or three days after I took oath, Health Minister Vijayabhaskar came to me and said Divakaran was eyeing the general secretary post for Sasikala.

4. Vijayabhaskar told me we should leave the posts behind and leave to ensure our own safety. I told him that we should carry out the responsibilities that Amma had outlined for us.

5. When the jallikattu protests were raging+ , I as chief minister approached PM Modi regarding the ordinance and amendment. On the other hand, deputy speaker Thambidurai came there with 50 MPs and sought an appointment to meet the PM. When I returned, I expressed my displeasure over this. But I received no redressal.

6. In the meantime, Revenue Minister RB Udhayakumar said VK Sasikala should be chief minister+ . I was concerned over the unnecessary problems this would cause if the Governor asks me to prove my support on the floor of the Assembly.

7. Amma had left behind a strong party and government in our hands. We should have been working to make her name stand out brighter. Instead, I was being insulted after having been made to occupy the chief minister's seat.

8. I was told arrangements need to be made to make Sasikala the chief minister and general secretary . I had no idea that a meeting of the MLAs had taken place. They threatened to take disciplinary action against me if I refused to toe their line.

9. Party leaders said I have to take initiative towards making Sasikala the chief minister. I asked how far was this justified? Then, I was forced to tender my resignation+ .

10. The leader of Tamil Nadu should be someone who has been chosen by the people. If the party workers and the people of the state are with me, I will take my resignation back.
