Why dalits with car and bungalow still ask for reservations ?

Ambedkar is a great person who envisioned india will stand equal with reservation .

Reservations to sc st and bc is greatest chapter of India's democracy.

He assumed in first two decades every Dalit will reach to economic social state.

But he was wrong till today we have many socially and economically backward dalita.

Who are taking their jobs ?

Oc (other category) cannot take their jobs, buy people with cars and bungalows and big fat belly still opting for reservation for kids with influence in the same quota.

Poor  Dalit villagers cannot stand to atrocities of their own social caste people. Who should change ?~

good question, for the dalits who lose out opportunities due to this, to ask the dalits who use the benefit inspite of their advantage.

But there's no evidence that overwhelming number of dalits who benefit from reservations are rich.

because they are dalits....and also because we have election every 5 years and dalits mean a lot to the political parties..

good thing then. otherwise people may just forget about them. everybody wants to forget they exist in some way or the other.

All my Dalit friends  parents had cars and bungalows when I was kid in school but they still joined using reservation.

For Christmas they used to spend money like hell..some parents are doctors from east godavari, another guys parent was ias officer from anantapur..and another one from mangalagiri was rto.

And another friend was grandson of a city mayor.

Son of collector used reservation for mbbs seat ?|!!

Son of rto used free seat for engineering with 45,000 ranks in sc/st quota

.. but their own cousins whoose parents are pastors are earning money through converting people but their kids are not in a good position(gali ki tirugutunaru).. dis some degree and couldn't find a job as of time last met them.

You want to wait until then ? Why should a son of dalit who enjoyed a govt. job from reservation should again have reservation ? How long ?

they joined using reservation, where? in a state university? with 45,000 rank? even if its true, its a good thing. That is the purpose of reservations. To make sure that all communities are properly represented in all govt services. Govt. cannot hand out seats only based on merit.

you are just pointing out a few examples. I can also point out plenty of examples of doctors who work in madras medical college, and other hospitals in TN, who come from very poor backgrounds, and were able to do MBBS only because of the reservation system.

until dalits are in par with the rest of the society, both socially, and economically.

you simply cannot have a situation where in 100 seats, 90 go to merit and these meritorious guys come from similar backgrounds.

govt. has to work for all. you can ask to change the criteria for reservations, but again till today, there hasn't been an acceptable alternative.

as long as dalits form equal proportion of those who get into through merit, this system will continue.

dalits get reservation, because they need it. simple.

one of my friend is SC, but his family never used reservation for kids education or jobs.

Just because your know of a friend's family who hasnt used reservation, can't apply as general assumption criteria..

Dude if they joined through paid seat and gave way to a poor Dalit, ambedkar dream probably won't remained as dream.

This rich dalit kids get best education but still use reservation for saving some money..how much they can save ?
