5, One they will return originals in 1 week time and the other they will pin the documents and return it you for stamping

6, Check online OCI status after 2 more weeks

7, Once the status is updated to arrived

8, Go to the same centre and submit the second envelope for stamping including the passport.

Yup...

and I recommend use some third party guys to apply OCI bcz O C I website is so stupid and sucks or go in person to apply

if we cant fill out our own forms..whats the use of being in US man...

i know its painful to apply OCI or even PP renewal..but atleast try..why depend on others.

India for good vellipotunnava? aithe OCI apply cheyy..

ledante visiting visa is okay.. 10 yrs isthadu.(each stay must not exceed 180 days). OCI card kuda anthe isthadu ...

still I don't get the point.. that if the kid is born here why they would allow OCI ?

Naturalized citizens ki aithe makes sense... coz they had indian passport before so they can be OCI eligible ..

how come kids born here and have US nationality eligible for OCI?

OCI is to remove the 180 day limit of stay. on the Indian visa for other nationals.

This is more than a year old news.....

Do not apply in India......it takes min 3 months or more

Best choice to apply in USA for quick and safe

Note what u get:: OCI stamp in u r passport + a separate OCI visa (like a passport size book) with u r pic with no expiration

India doesnt allow dual citizenship. since KIDS born here to Indian parents  want to move for good, then OCI would benefit and best to have .with OCI u can stay as long as you want however with visa it allows 180 days max and ext can be applied.
