Over 3k years of caste system keeping more than 80% of population away from basic education and culture... Irrational religious practices over thousands of years don't produce the men of intellectual brains. 

Scientific research needs to be nurtured, practiced and put into use in daily life for years for the society progress. This happened with Japan. Hope it happens with India in coming centuries.

Another important thing Japan has is homogeneous society where people are of the same social strata without social levels like we have in the form of caste, region, religion, language, ethnicity and etc. Not just Japan, most of eastern Asian and western countries have this advantage. They compete in the world stage as one nation. We on the other hand keep pulling each other inside the society instead of competing at the world stage. Our fight is scoped inside.

Hmm....but somehow we/i need to be part of a change asap or else 

I cannot live upto my dream of developed india in a living years it seems.
