One look at the Driver's license and they will know whether you are on visa or a permanent resident. Citizens and PR's DL will not have a 2/3 year or lesser expiry date on their DLs like our visa folks do.

eariki kanna max 8 years....but citizen will have an option to choose how many years they want the license... you have to pay fee based on years of license...If you know you are not going to stay in that state for not more than couple of years... there is no point paying for 8 years license.... just FYI
