Best is to put it in car storage. Covered lot and will be more secure. 

Apartment parking if you have free parking in your apartment you can leave it there. But i vacated my apartment and the apartment had reserved parking spots, so had to put it somwhere. 

I could have left it in the street but what if someone had hit your car, or for any reason your car needs to be moved. Towing it will cost you way more so didn't take a chance and put it in a heated storage lot in the winter. Costed me $300/month, expensive I know but atleast you know your car is going to be safe.

Its just our mental feeling that parking lot lo park cheyadam safe, cos its covered and under surveillance, insured etc blah blah. Road pakana side lo padesi poina anthe...vunte vuntadi..lekapothey peektadi...but vunde chances ae ekuva. Because parking lot lo park chesthe liability lot operator gadu teesukunta and legally guranteed ani cheptunadu kabatte we feel safe, anthe kani vadu emi car safe ga vuntundi ani assurance ivatledu kada...in case emana avuthe coverage istha ani antunadu. that means even lot operator is also not ruling out that your car is not 100% safe..

and ie risk factor mida ne bhai, insurance business nadichedi...identify risk, let the owner know the risk, make them worry about the risk, then give assurance that we will take care and sell them insurance..

go there and take a big unit.. (which fits atleast 1 bedromm aptmnt) mostly wihthin $30 lo aypothadi...

it helps if you are travelling for less than a month.. 2 keys istharu.. oka key nuvv unchuko.. inko key nee close frnd or family member in US ki ivvu..

incase india lo nuvvu assam aithe or POE lo aithe.. they can take it out and sell for you or do something for you..
