Tips for successful FT Interviews

Disclaimer - Don't bother to read if you think all hiring managers are desis who are unethical and if you think there are no other jobs than IT with vendor as one of those desi IT firms. This is for someone who wants to apply for job in big firms where no politics involved in hiring. 

 

arrow1. Research the industry and organization. 

arrow2. Clarify your "selling points" and the reasons you want the job.

arrow3. Anticipate the interviewer's concerns and reservations. 

arrow4. Prepare for common interview questions.

arrow5. Line up your questions for the interviewer. 

arrow6. Practice, practice, practice!!! 

arrow7. Score a success in the first five minutes.

arrow8. Get on the same side as the interviewer.

arrow9. Be assertive and take responsibility for the interview.

arrow10. Be ready to handle illegal and inappropriate questions.

arrow11. Make your selling points clear.

arrow12. Think positive!

arrow13. Close on a positive note.

arrow14. Send thank-you notes.

arrow15. Bring a copy of your resume to every interview.

arrow16. Don't worry about sounding "canned". 

arrow17. Make the most of the "Tell me about yourself" question.

arrow18. Speak the right body language.

arrow19. Be ready for "behavior-based" interviews.

arrow20. Don't give up!

Tip for contractors - Don't submit your 6-7 pages resume when applying for FT. 1 page is more than enough and 2 means you are stretching. Even Sunder Pichai doesn't have resume more than 1 page.

study u r resume top to bottom .... understand & learn......make sure u can explain clear and confidently about u r resume.....always speak slowly.....#~`

For coding positions at Companies(like amazon, MS which is based on Algos) ki aithe cracking the coding interview and programming interviews exposed ani 2 books untayi.. clear cut explanation starting from application process to offer varaku untadhi.. read those.. all the best!!

Any jaab same man.. u will not get for sure, if hiring mgr or any one in loop is a desi..

Nuvu eh type hiring manager gurinchi matladavo konchem clarity ivvu. All hiring managers or desi managers who are greedy? I am talking about hiring managers who are ethical.

Mostly ivvi anni thella vallaku work out avuthayyi kanni, very rarely useful for our Desi folks, Esp if the hiring manager is Desi, that too you have one of Witch implementation partner and C2C positons, All the above will not help and waste.
