Nenu cop ki call chesa-adi vachi report rasindhi.

 Vadidhi fault ani oppkunnadu. Vadi insurance ni claim cheste vallu pay chesta annaru bumper ki.

• Honda CIVIC 2017 
• 3 months ayyindi
• 23k ki konna
• 2k thirgindhi

1) Deni valla na car ki yenta value povachu?

2) Nenu Diminished Value Claim kuda file chedamanukuntunna. Deni meda idea unda meku?

Is there anything else I can do to recover my loss?

I claimed it. you need to talk with your adjuster. But I can say dont bring that discussion till you done with repairs, the may try to save money on repairs if you taking about dimished value from day 1. you need to pay in one of the website and you will get a report on how much the loss in value based on damage. your adjuster will use that report to come up with some number. I guess you may get around 2k for diminished valu if damage is big.

Bumper damage is pretty trivial in nature, unless there is a frame damage, mostly in your case its not even bumper its just bumper cover, bumper antey cover venaka pedda padding vuntadi, adi motham replace cheyali n it will be costly, most likely in those cases frame damage vuntadi.

Front bumper cheap gane untadi. Regular plain color lo untadi dani meeda nee car color estaru body shop lo. Parts kante ekkuva labour charges untay. 

If it is just bumper then neeku diminished value oka $1k varaku ivvochu or less than that.  Nee motham repair charges lo half amount ala istaru vallu diminished value.

Nee bonda talk to adjuster chinna accident ki I claimed 1000$ say that I will talk to my lawer ani bedrinchu escalate it to managers

Babu chitti , lucky that nothing happened to you. Don't worry about how much is the resale value. Car is never an asset which appreciates or hold value.

same thing happened to my car last year in my office parking lot....naa colleague okadu parking lot lo reverse chesthu naa car bumper ni hit chesadu, bumper broke as well as one headlight...nenu cop ki call chesa, naa colleague gadu thana mistake ni accept cheyaledhu but lucky gaa kondharu chusaru incident ni, cop gadu report icchadu but didnt conclude whose fault it was, memu insurances share chesukunnam, nenu naa colleague gadi insurance ki call chesanu, vaadi insurance motham incident ni investigate chesi vaade at fault ani decide chesaru...ee lopu nannu oka body ki pommannaru....nenu akkadiki vellanu and $3500 quote chesaru and car history lo enter chestham ani annaru....naa colleague insurance vadu naaku $3500 check pampindu....nenu money cash chesukoni naaku thelisina body shop lo $1200 ki work cheyinchanu and the bodyshop didnt report the incident to my car history....i would suggest you to get the check from the other party insurance and repair your car at some other body shops

manam car konedi nadapanike kani, rate vaste ammukonike kadu kada...ofcourse terms like depreciatgions and all are all really big words for Desis...but imagine, you just bought a car..unfortunate incident happened...idisey..pothey poni oka 1000...bumper ae kada...oka 5 use chesina anuko..poni..oka 10 years use chesina anuko...aina kuda satisfy leka, itla time waste chesukuntu, edi..epudu ammutavo telvadu..enni years ki ammutavo telvadu...daniki ipatinunde time waste chesukuntu tiragadam avasarama cheppu..

amminapudu chusukundam..or..ipudu nuv spend time chese time ni proper ga utilise chesi a $1000 sampainchuko...

Bumper ilantivi cosmetic damage kindaki vasthai veeti valla baariga resale value ayithe padipodhu. If it is related to mechanical then resale value goram ga padipoyidi. Nu long term 8-10yrs ee car unchukonte it doesnt matter. I dont know about claim process. Mari ekkuva heart ki thesukoku i know kotha car ki emaina ayithe chala badha ga untadi.
