H4 EXTENSION GOT APPROVED BUT START DATE ISSUE

Hi Friends

I have my 4 years son who is on H4 came to US on my H1B start and ending dates. His visa is going to expire on April 30th 2017. His H4 Extension was filed by my wife who is on H1B and got extension for both. But for my son the start date is 06/21/2017. But his existing visa is going to expire on 04/30.

Does he needs to be out of County for the 54 days and should come after 06/21/2017. Is there any grace period that he can stay in US ..?
