The power given is to serve people not to dictate people, or looti the government money provided in taxes by the people ... I want that power not in the parliament or assembly I want the power to be back in public hands, and remind each and every politician that they are servers to the people not the boss of the people ....

kastapadi 'develop' aithey baagupadipodu India. India is not mature enough to be progressive. The ideas for making India better are not yet there in public imagination. The only thing people keep talking about corruption, as if its the root problem.

All developing countries go through this phase of development where corruption becomes unbearable. Then the focus shifts to building institutions that can stand up against powerful interests. But corruption still remains. otherwise a country becomes a giant pile of mediocre rubbish like Canada, if corruption is completely eliminated.

India cannot attain greatness through ideologies (left/right), but through small incremental changes to governance. Through every citizen fighting like hell for his right (or atleast a good chunk of them).

lots of glasses have to be broken, several lives destroyed, before India learns what works for it.

It definitely cannot happen under current BJP govt. It can only happen under an ideologically apathetic govt, that listens to the loudest voices, and one that can be made accountable.

BJP's has been the most fact free, least accountable govt. I've known. but i've only known two. I can certainly say UPA was better than this sh1t.
