Telugu NRI Gudur Madhukar Reddy commits suicide in Seattle

Tragedy has struck yet another NRI Telugu family, this time it is about a 37-year-old IT professional named Gudur Madhukar Reddy ending his life by committing suicide.

Gudur Madhukar Reddy suicide case was reported on Tuesday after his dead body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his residence in Bothel near Seattle, Washington state.

An employee of a software company, Gudur Madhukar Reddy hails from Bhongir town in Telangana state.

Madhukar Reddy Gudur is survived by his wife and a seven-year-old daughter.

Reasons for Gudur Madhukar Reddy suicide are not yet clear but there is a strong indication that he was not in good terms with his wife. Financially, Gudur Madhukar Reddy family appears to be well off as they had recently bought a house in Seattle.

His wife, named Swathi is also a software engineer as reported by Deccan Chronicle. As per the publication, Madhukar Reddy Gudur graduated from BITS Pilani.

He has been staying in the US for seven years, and had visited his village only once after marriage. One of his relatives, Durga Reddy told Deccan Chronicle that Gudur Madhukar Reddy was doing well financially but was plagued by marital discord. However, that reason could not be confirmed yet as per Durga Reddy.

Married four years ago, the NRI couple started to have differences about Gudur Madhukar Reddy’s relocation plans to India and get a job in Hyderabad. Strangely, a couple of years back, the brother of Gudur Madhukar Reddy’s wife had also committed suicide in Seattle.

It has also been reported by a section of the media that Gudur Madhukar Reddy had texted his mom “Dear mother, kindly forgive me” before committing suicide.

The Indian community on Gofundme.com has raised a campaign to collect funds that will be used for shifting Gudur Madhukar Reddy dead body to his native place in India.

The Gudur Madhukar Reddy suicide news comes only days after another NRI Telugu person Narra Sasikala and her 7-year-old son were murdered in New Jersey.

Neeku citizenship ochindi kadaa silly gane untaayi aa reasons. But employers exploit chesi work cheyunchukuni on top of that intlo wife harrassment chesthey can't blame him for taking the extreme step.

Bro,,naku citizenship easy ga raaledu.. I earned it... I had choice not to risk and wait in line.. I chose differently..

GC delays is something they cant change.. its not in their hands... worrying about it is silly and foolish..
