For every transaction you make a small part of the payment like 2-3% goes to the Credit card company from the Merchant , some card issuers like Amex charge more , a little part like 0.1 or 0.2 goes to the companies which process payments , there are more sub-partners if you call them who also benefit from these transactions , Credit card companies also earn hefty interest on the balance people have on cards , the interest rates on cards are mostly ridiculous like 15-30% depending on the card , your credit scores etc , so they make a lot of money through interest.

Recently got to know that for the first time in my life, my CC debt has gone over 10k.(Around 12k actually) damn

Should I be worried about this? Or is around 10k fairly normal to have as CC debt? How many of you have this amount or higher as debt on CCs?
