AP is home for World's Largest Solar plant with 1 Giga Watt

Andhra Pradesh is now home for World's Largest Solar plant with 1 Giga Watt( 1000 MW) capacity.

Just to give a picture, A Coal run power plant would need apprx 1,40,00,000 Kgs of Coal per day to produce 1000 MW.

AP's Kurnool Ultra Solar power plant beats the Tamil Nadu's 648 MW plant and California's 550 MW Topaz power plant.

Andhra Pradesh is now India's No.1 Solar Power Producer with 1867 MW of Solar Power beating Rajasthan ( 1812 MW).

The story isn't Ending here, Andhra Pradesh is building 3 more Solar Projects 2*500MW projects in Ananthapur and another 1000 MW Ultra Power project in Kadapa.

These two plants will be complete in 2-3 years bringing the state's Solar Power generation to 3867 MW beating the United States of America's Total Solar power plant capacity(3713 MW).

So Proud of our state Andhra Pradesh and India to make such huge leaps towards Clean Energy !

THe developers SUNE (Sun Edison), FLSR (First SOlar) both ran into financial crunches and trying to sell (might have sold already) these projects to another developers.. these issues to be cleared first...
