Hyderabad: A beautician was gang raped in a villa in Pet Basheerabad on city outskirts on Saturday night. Police on Sunday filed a case against the culprits after the victim escaped from the place and lodged a complaint.

The 23-year-old woman who is working as a beautician in Banjara Hills was invited by her friend Preetham Reddy on Saturday evening to have a party. Then he sexually assaulted her and called two of his friends - Snehith Reddy and Arava Reddy - to villa No. 210 at Farm Meadows in Kompally where he kept his girlfriend captive.

When Preetham asked his friends to have fun with the girl, she locked herself in a room. They broke open the door and both Snehith and Arava also raped her. After they went to sleep, the girl ran away from the villa and with the help of passersby, she reached Pet Basheerabad police station and lodged a complaint.

Police nabbed the main accused Preetham Reddy but the other two are absconding. It is alleged that as Snehith is the son of a TRS MLC Satyanarayana Reddy of Nizamabad, the case is being scuttled down.

However, police said efforts are on to nab the other two accused at the earliest.
