Kool_SRG
Rajinikanth, Mammootty to team up for Mani Ratnam's next? Rumours are rife that superstar Rajinikanth and Mollywood megastar Mammootty are likely to join hands for filmmaker Mani Ratnam's next. Thalapathi was an important film for superstar Rajinikanth, as much it was for Tamil cinema. The film, which was based on the friendship between Karna and Duryodhana in Mahabharat, received unanimous positive response and went on to become one of the highest grossing films that year. Thalapathi had several highlights, be it the songs or the dialogues. Now, rumour has it that Rajinikanth and Mammootty are teaming up once again for Mani Ratnam's next. According to a report in The News Minute, it looks like the master filmmaker is trying to rope in both the superstars for his next. If everything falls in place, the film is scheduled for a 2018 release. Earlier to this, reports said that Ratnam's forthcoming film is tipped to be a gangster flick. However, we await an official confirmation. Earlier in March, Mani Ratnam's romantic drama Kaatru Veliyidai opened to mixed reviews from critics and fans. Starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead, the film failed to impress the audience. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth and Mammootty are busy with their respective projects. While Rajinikanth will be next seen in 2.0, Mammootty is gearing up for his next.

VizagRocks
Thalapathy is a parody of Maniratnam films. Lol. but Rajni the superstar can only star in such stupid movies at this point in his career. There's simply no one who can make a good Rajni movie now. VizagRocks
Plus Maniratnam is trying to experiment with stuff he reads about. Its the worst for Rajni if its true. Its time Rajni leaves movies, and jumps into politics, and founds a Tamil Nationalist party, kicks hindutva fcuks in TN in the ass.

I didn't watch the movie, but I heard its heavily preachy film. that's why I said its better Rajni leaves films, and starts a Tamil nationalist party, that also fights for dalits. Its incredibly brave of him to play an outright dalit hero in a tamil movie. but bravery doesnt make a good movie no.
