Teatro La Fenice ("The Phoenix Theatre" in English) is one of the most famous opera houses in Italy. Fitting for its name, the Venice theater has burned down and been rebuilt three times, most recently in 2001. The latest iteration cost around $97 million. In this photo, we see a bare stage ready to host a production lavish enough to match the rest of the opera house.
