HELP - HDFC NRE savings acc

Planning to open this account in INDIA.

4% interest P.A.

ee account open cheste vaadu iche Debit card cash withdrawal/ occasional purchases cheyacha in INDIA?

OR do I need to open NRE current account?

deniki bokka..better open account with YES bank...vadu 6% istadu..naku HDFC acnt undi...i would not recommend it to any one....acnt opening appudu frnd mail id reference kinda pedte...naa statements vadi acnt ki pampi dobbadu...vadu entra ivi nakostunai ani naku frwd chesedaka i didnt have a clue...ofcourse close frnd kabatti not a big deal...chutiya customer service...call chesi adigite ledu ala ela pamputam antadu...orey errifuka i have the frwrded emails from my frnd ani andarni dobbite mail pettu we will escalate it to higher management anadu...left n right kukka 10gullu pedtu mail petta..response kuda ledu....moved everything to YES bank and they are very resposive

why both? NRE is tax exempt NRO is non tax exempt. any other differences?

yes, 2 types unayi NRE/NRO

NRE- you don't have to pay tax on interest

NRO - tax kattali interest meda
