Manisha Koirala is all too familiar with how precarious life can be — at one moment you’re touching stars and the very next, you’ve hit rock bottom. And that’s exactly what she speaks about in her inspiring TEDx talk in Jaipur.

And everything she had seemed to turn on its head: A string of bad films, even worse reviews, an unhealthy lifestyle that attracted wrong company, a failed marriage and then the final blow —  an aggressive form of cancer.

Talking extensively about the worst period in her life, Manisha showcased strength and transformation despite having been through situations that many wouldn’t ever be able to recover from. But Manisha decided to take the reins of her life, having had such a close brush with death.

Vouching for quality over quantity, she sheds light on how transient even friendship was and how her once-large circle of friends has now trickled down to a chosen few.
