Before the airlines business , it was just a software company named interglobe they used to build airlines software for firms like amadius , thanks to praful Patel and co , it's now India's biggest airlines .. also they built the software that was used by air deccan

Well, that was a business plan...the reason why deccan was sold to kingfisher was these interglobe guys were handling the software and ...they literally sabotages the software to divert the traffic to other competetors..and deccan started losing money to rivals like kingfisher,sahara,jet airways...

when deccan realised this, it was too late and Deccan which recorded 98% PLF were stuggling with barely 50% PLF...and so deccan became cash strapped and had been looking for a sell off...then deccan became kingfisher and interglobe did the same thing they did it with deccan..sabotaging the software and diverting the traffic to rivals...and so, Kingfisher RED started losing money as well and Indigo was gaining ground..ala Indigi bagupadindi..

Anyone know the spicejet story ?

how can they divert the traffic, if the ppl are willing to buy from cheap airlines they can do it kada

yes ... interglobe pulled support for deccan's operations as soon as they started their own airlines because deccan was a major competitor to them and deccan paid a heavy price for it , it had to ground all its fleet for more than 2 months ... this move literally sabotaged deccan .... also , the biggest reason why KF airlines went in to bankruptcy is because of buying deccan..

word is that captian gopinath is doing the groundwork to start another airlines ..

coming to spicejet , i think Maran is an early investor in spicejet and he just bought a majority stake in it after it went in to losses ... I dont think it has a crazy story like indigo..

honestly , I'm kinds surprised that some one in DB knows abt this whole deccan, Interglobe story .... do u know anyone that is in airlines industry ?

ikkada adey twist ... captain gopinath goodwill tho contract lo clauses check cheyaledu , he was in a hurry to get the software built asap .. which later came back to bite him hard ..
