I'm not going to argue with that. I already have formed my opinion on Hindus, from talking to 100s of them in India, US, UK, Canada.Very few people actually want parity.

Why deny the nature of Hinduism itself? To you, and to many other 'modern' Hindus, it is simply the vehicle for capitalism.

I know it won't. But the current structure is failing. The future is changing fast. There is a chance that it will be workable in the future, with the help of technology.

equal society has worked in the past, for short periods of time. But that were different times.

I was asked a question, and I responded to that. I didn't say that others society are more equal than Hindus. In fact, I explicitly stated that all cultures are the same, almost anyway, in their worship of money now.

But if you haven't noticed, the wheels of capitalism have started coming off. 

The entire world doesn't have to become an 'equal society'. But they can exist in some corner somewhere. don't brush things away so easily without thinking them through. atleast try.

So why do think capitalism hasn't lifted India out of poverty, while it has lifted China out of poverty?

don't say because India didn't build enough infrastructure. That's just one of the reasons, and among the marginal ones.

MMS reign's welfare state programs have slightly eased the difficulty for the poorest Indians, but even that has proved unsustainable.

If your argument is - I can find IT jobs, my city has world class airports, and metro, so as long this status quo is maintained and improved upon, everything is fine according to me, then you neglect the other end of the equation. 

Hindutva in the 90s, when I was at school had better ideas based on swadeshi, compared to the current foreign bootlickers in Hindutva.

communism has worked in giving us the internet (or atleast keeping the internet free), courtesy of open source movement.

Also people wrongly equate communism with Russian Leninism. What I'm saying is pure classical communism, which is called libertarianism in Europe, and in the US it is called anarcho communism, I think.

there doesn't exist a state, a superstructure that makes 5yr plans like Soviet did.

Ofcourse, in that society, you can't own property, you can't hire someone to do a job, you can't use money, etc.

Such a society is possible in the near future. Again, not throughout the world. But in small communes.
