Everything is a scam in America.

especially health care and insurance...

insurance nee deductible meet ayyentha varaku em cover cheyyadu....

hospitals tho fight cheyyadu....migatha balance (balance billed charges) nuvvu out of pocket tho kattukovali and that  doesnt count towards deductible...or max out of pocket limit...

so basically if you dont meet deductibe then you are paying to the hospital full bill and the monthly premiums to insurance...

Talk to the hospital people and mention your financial status that you (or ur wife) do not have a source of income. They will ask for the patient`s 3 month bank statements to provide. If she really does not have any source of income, then it is a bit easy to get some amount waivered. Naaku last year surgery ayyindi man, my bill was around 34,000, but after requesting the hospital and providing all docs, after 1 and a half year, they waivered it for me. So, yours is not that big issue. Just explain to them that there is no source of income. Anthe!
