US Interest return alternatives

Ikkada interest rates/FD rates very less kadha. Alternative options suggest please. Never traded stocks no knowledge on that. I want to take very less risk in loosing money.

less risk = less reward

less time spent ayite go for roboadvisors like betterment, wealthfront or charlesschwab robo advisors

Look at private equity for businesses.

I thought to move money to Indian nre account so that I can get 6-7 % interest rate and after 1 year to get back the money to US Bank account but I see dollar rate decrease aithey out returns will go down. 

 

FCRR deposits chesa they are not subject to exchange rate changes but interest rate is very less around 2% and don't know if there are any additional fee for depositing. This is the info I currently have.

That's true..kattali..India lo bank manager tried to convince me last time that 1.5l kanna takkuva aythe avsaram ledhu amma and all...

But US rule aythe any amount will be added to your annual income here and tax bracket will be fixed accordingly. Already ikkada 6 figure salary aythe tax vaachipoddhi.
