If the 2nd technology is even related to the first tech's domain, I would strongly consider moving.

Core technologies kaakunda anything else evolves opver a period of time. So being in close proximity to tech 1, chance to work (and learn) tech 2 along with some pay hike looks like a nice opportunity to me.

Over crowding, rate slashes ivanni ee technology lo aina common. You have to be above the market avg and need to maintain good contacts in your space. That is a common denominator. Always when switching areas, road bumps are normal. This seems to be the path of least resistance.

Thanks for your inputs...

Im along the lines of tech 1...

Tech2 covers almost 40% of old tech1..

.Yaa...its always good to have change overs in IT industry...

Current client tho c2c contract inko 3 to 6 months undi...

Working here since 6 months...

Everybody knows about my hard work and positive attitude....

I have learned new tech now and want to work on it...and im desperate to do it...

Current tech and new tech both are related to programming...

Below are the reasons for looking c2c jobs in new tech...

Reason #1 . Higher billing than current tech...may be $5 to $20 per hour raise.

Reason #2. Exploring a new tech...work experience matters...

Reason #3. Current tech is saturated with desis...and all time low billing rates...and high workload and stress...

Any suggestions...?

Only serious replies ivvandi...pros and cons...

Friend vala friend vala friend ki kaadu...
