I don't know if there is any specific word, but people have been using the word "Uberisation" for the underlying principle that these companies use.

I am not criticizing Uber in this case but it is just very bad timing for them with a lot going on. CEO fired, sexual allegations, self-driving car patents infringement case by google etc
