Investors are there not only just to give money but also to grab as much percentage as possible during negotiations. Of course, they will provide the strategy too. Unless there is real need, where investors connections and power help move things quicker, relying on  investor for money is really bad idea. I am talking about VC side things. 

When you have an idea/business that only need 50K but has potential to become Million dollar firm, would you take 25K from investor and give up 50% percentage of that business?

Of course, they don't invest unless there is a room for profits..I made that statement in general not pertaining to a particular situation..

It's not just about money..They are more valuable than cash investment itself.. They have considerable amount of knowledge and experience in which they invest and improve the value of the startup company.. It's all about how they connect with a wide range of options that they have in store..
