I have been driving Lexus Certified car that was 30k when I bought and been driving with no issues for past 6.5 years. We can't just generalize about all Luxary cars. Specially Acura and Lexus. 

Its much different if you are speaking about BMW, Merc, Audi as a certified car than an Acura or Lexus

only difference is bmw is a drivers car, power and luxury quality car-

merc - luxury,,top class quality - less power but class car

audi -  is expensive if something shows up

should not be an issue if you go for a certified for any of these cars too...but maintainance is high, you got to pay for the brands right,,,,
