may be my standards of what constitutes 'respect' is different from what some women expect, and they are happy with what is being given to them.

Love is temporary. 

It depends on the girl. Modern girls rarely go for older gentleman. They are better off never marrying and finding 'love' with a different person every week. As long as they keep themselves fit.

If a girl gets into a relationship expecting a 'soulmate', she must be very innocent. Usually by 27/28 (indian girls) they understand that their fair prince is never going to come, and settle for drudgery of regular marriage, or an exciting bachelor life.
