Amaravati Metro Rail Corporation MD Ramakrishna Reddy has alleged that the new Metro Rail Policy introduced by the Union Government has been affecting the Amaravati Metro Rail project drastically. Ramakrishna Reddy speaking to a media channel said that Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam Metro Rail works are going to be affected as private companies are not coming forward. Amaravati Metro Rail Corporation MD has defended his statement saying how public-private-partnership(PPP) and government investments are interlinked with each other. He said public-private partnership, will not work out for low-density populated cities and is aimed to decrease investment burden on Centre. Watch the video for more updates.
