First Hyperloop in India to be launched between Amravati and Vijayawada

A 250mph (400 km/kh) Hyperloop transport system is to be constructed in southeast India.

The Hyperloop pods will travel around 25 miles (40 km) in just six minutes between the city centres of Vijaywada and Amaravati.

The journey through the state of Andhra Pradesh, which has a population of 50 million people, normally takes over an hour by car.

Most Hyperloop proposals, including HTT's (concept art pictured), involve suspending tubes off the ground on stilts to protect against weather and earthquakes

Earlier this year, HTT released an animation of what a passenger¿s experience in one of its pods might be like. It reveals augmented windows could show a ¿realistic perspective¿ of the world outside. The futuristic capsule will fit 28-40 passengers at a time
