Prime Minister Narendra Modi has millions of followers and supporters, but here is someone special who has been staging a peaceful protest for about a month with the demand of ‘marrying’ him.

Hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, a 40-year-old woman named Shanti Sharma is reportedly on a sit-in at Jantar Mantar of Delhi since September 8. Speaking to media, she has clarified that her mental condition is perfectly fine and that she has only one agenda for her sit-in, marriage with PM Modi.

She reportedly revealed that she was married earlier but the relation didn’t last long. “I have been alone ever since my husband left me. I refused a lot of marriage proposals in the meantime. Now, I have decided to marry Narendra Modi as he is also ‘alone’ like me. When people here about this, they often laugh, and I want to tell them that I want to marry Modi ji because I respect him. And, I want to help him in his work,” Shanti said.

When questioned why she resorted to sit-in, she said that she knew people would not allow her to meet him. She added that she would remain on sit-in till Modi comes to meet her. ‘If the officials force me to vacate this place, I will continue the protest directly in front of PM’s residence,’ she said.

Interestingly, Shanti offered to sell all her properties and pay Rs 2 Cr dowry if Modi agrees to marry her
