Yeah man, we do not need savings in UK...most of the things are taken care, healthcare is taken care of and assured retirement and pension, all that we need to do is to make money to pay our bills and spend on holidays, rest is assured. work life balance was good, going around is easy and not as complicated as in USA. I was there for three years but never felt the need to buy a car...Staying in Chelmsform, all that it would take is 30-35 mins to reach St.James Park which was 40 miles away ...

I used to walk around and greet people...something I cannot do here in US..

@Android_Halwa I didn't know you lived in UK before bro. 

You should have stayed there, ikkadi kanna immigration is much more straightforward and transparent there right. 

But of course since you intend to go back to India in the future, maybe it wouldn't have affected your decision that much.

Yeah bro, I was in UK for about 3 and half years. Yeah life was pretty good there, not complicated one. Immigration was simple and so was healthcare and taxes, insurances and housing...most of the things were simple.

I was among the first batch of people who got effected by the new visa regime...or else, ipatiki I would have been a permanent resident.

Not just immigration, most things are simple unlike in US. We might not make as much money as we do it here but, except London the cost of living is pretty affordable considering we do not pay hefty insurances. And, the best place to retire as the state looks after you no matter what you are..
