micxas baaga cheppadu ee vishayam ni. other castes can change their varnas and move up the social order, but one has to be born a brahmin to become one.

because that's how hinduism is designed. being born a brahmin is the highest spiritual achievement one can attain, and can be attained after lot of punyas. or something like that.

I think brahmins are not ready to let go off that level of privilege so easily.

food example theesko.. brahmins ee kadu inka vere caste ollu kooda thinaru like vysyas etc... now how are they different?  madi annadhi just cleanliness kosam pettina rule, basic hygiene evadaina follow avtharu .... ivanni silly and trivial... tbh ee caste ani itla gundelu baadhukune vallu and who still thinks scriptures need to be followed just all form a village and live there and let the rest of us live elsewhere in peace...

sure lets call someone a brahmin (using this caste as an example as aakathai brought it up) despite him smoking, drinking and despite have no clue no about any vedas or bhagavatam because he was born to a "brahmin" family.... seems legit to me
