I differ slightly. world doesn't have to accept India's 'traditions', as long as Indians grow a conscience and stop justifying their caste privilege. sometimes even to the extent of pretending that caste doesn't exist.

India needs a socialist revolution to counter the poison of Hindutva in India. Its currently an unbearable place to live, if you care about decency.

A piece of text is currently viral on WhatsApp which contains 9 quotes purportedly by certain Western authors/philosophers etc. In each one of these quotes, they are stating how great Hindutva or Hinduism is and some even predicting that it will be the religion that the entire world will follow. vegetarianism is one aspect of Hindutva, and carries with it the threat of violence. The vegetarianism that the world may adopt in the future will not be inspired by Hindutva.

I didn't read it too.

If I decide to settle down in India (which I may), I will read to understand more about my religion, and try to dispel wrong notions. right now, I'm not that bothered about it.

your 'opinion' will hurt others (I don't mean them taking offense). your opinions are unfounded nonsense. so stop peddling them as if you know what you are talking about.

I have a citizenship of a different country. The only reason I'd want to settle down in India (TN/UP) is out of brotherhood I feel with Indians. nothing else. may be I want to instigate people to fcuk the factory owners in India.

transition to cooperative industrial societies seems much more straight forward in western countries, than in India.
