A tiger's life is as good as the ecosystem, just because middle class can escape this country doesn't mean they can live once they leave it

Saying this as mock to slavery is as good as public display of hypocrisy...

Indians were educated with Technologies developed in America under the pretentious hope that there will be prosperity on both side.... that was a shady tactic and now they want them to push from the cliff and turning their backs... what a bunch of cowards

I haven't seen a more self serving sophist argument than this. typical of Indian middle class.

No such thing was ever promised, and even if it was it's only in the case of the few Indians who were educated in the US. The vast majority of H1Bs atleast till the recent time included those that have only migrated here for work purposes or economic reasons and not those that have come here for educational purposes.

Even then, the intent of the F1 is not an immigrant intent so I don't know where you got that indians were educated with an eye to prosper both sides. If anything, US universities are for the most part degree mills that would like to keep their cash cow while the corporates dangle that GC carrot in front of you.

We all are, and I find nothing wrong with it. False bravado isn't any better than honest cowardice.

I'm a coward, not because I can't live in India. I don't mind the poverty, squalor, incompetence. I'm afraid of how many people I'll piss off in my own family if I lived there for a long time.

dasara bullodu, like the typical indian middle class, is talking about jobs ecosystem and his inability to maintain his current quality of life in India. I'm not.

may be one day I will move to India, after my mother passes away.

it was promised indirectly if you read the newspapers etc in the heydays of outsourcing in late 90s and early 2000s it was promised by politicos on both sides that it will become a cost savings for US corporates and will uplift people from poverty in India

LOL at that, the DoD itself which is a Federal govt organization breaks it's own promised contractual terms at will and tries to go to any vindictive measures to stifle a program that it wants to end.

And you think a corporate entity posting an ad on some random newspaper to lure easy labor stands by it's word?

a lot of ppl drank the kool-aid in India and jumped the bandwagon. Just for example tell me how many of your siblings/cousins in India are non-IT/Medicine. I have two such cousins one is  a lawyer and other is a practicing civil engg rest of them in IT

Cousins hmm, I guess you are referring to first cousins since I am not too familiar with where  most of my second cousins ended up. Out of all the first cousins, a total of 10 only 3 are left in India.

One of them runs a cement business, one is a housewife/teacher part time and one of them is a PhD that works at Reddy Labs as a scientist, I think she was into biopharmacy or something of that sort. Rest of the cousins, except 3 including myself aren't into IT. Mostly into management careers or some into research/PhD etc.

Think most of those that drank the Kool Aid and came here already minted enough money to go back and live comfortably if that's what they want or have already obtained their GCs, so I don't think the stuff you are referring to applies to the vast majority of us.
