విజయవాడలో గాడిద మాంసం విక్రయిస్తామంటూ బోర్డు పెట్టుకున్న వ్యాపారి

సాక్షి, హైదరాబాద్‌: గుంటూరు జిల్లాలో నిబంధనలకు విరుద్ధంగా నిర్వహిస్తున్న కబేళాల్లో  గాడిద వధ జరుగుతోందని, గాడిద మాంసాన్ని పట్టణంలో ఎక్కడ బడితే అక్కడ విక్రయిస్తున్నారని, అయినా మున్సిపల్‌ అధికారులు పట్టించుకోవడం లేదని ఉమ్మడి హైకోర్టులో ప్రజా ప్రయోజన వ్యాజ్యం (పిల్‌) దాఖలైంది.

గాడిద వధను, మాంసం విక్రయాలను నిరోధించి, కాలుష్య నియంత్రణ మండలి (పీసీబీ) అనుమతిలేని కబేళాలను మూసివేసేలా గుంటూరు మున్సిపల్‌ అధికారులను ఆదేశించాలని కోరుతూ తూర్పుగోదావరి జిల్లా, కాకినాడకు చెందిన యానిమల్‌ రెస్కూ ఆర్గనైజేషన్‌ కార్యదర్శి ఎస్‌.గోపాలరావు, మరో ముగ్గురు ఈ వ్యాజ్యాన్ని దాఖలు చేశారు. గుంటూరు జిల్లాలో ఇష్టానుసారంగా గాడిద వధ జరుగుతోందని, రోడ్లను ఆక్రమించి జంతువులను వధిస్తున్నారని పిటిషనర్లు పేర్కొన్నారు.

neyavva...pork tinara...gannavaram bacon factory baga famous vayya...nenu chala sarlu tinna...its well packed and maintained...chala villageslo adavi pandi padte all relativeski panchutaru..its  yummy

VIJAYAWADA, AUG.19. The Gannavaram Bacon Factory, a division of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, launched `ready to cook pork' and `minced pork' here on Thursday.

Launching the new products, the head of the Department of Livestock Products Technology, M. Ranganadham, said the cook-ready pork was a combination of bacon and ham, cleaned and cut into smaller pieces for the convenience of the consumers.

The product had the good taste of bacon and the high nutritive value of ham. Minced pork, the other new product, was most suitable for quick preparation of cutlets, nuggets and sausages.

Prof. Ranganadham said the Gannavaram Bacon Factory was already marketing pork, bacon, ham and undercuts through its authorised dealers. Soon all its products will be available in all branches of the Vijaya Krishna Super Bazar.

The products of the Bacon factory are available through its dealers in Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Guntur, Tenali, Machilipatnam, and Nellore in Coastal Andhra and in Kanchikacherla, Jaggaiahpet, Kankipadu, Nuzvid and Hanuman Junction in Krishna district. In Vijayawada, the factory products are sold in shops located in Labbipet near the Veterinary Hospital, Benz Centre (road next to Varun Motors), Chuttugunta and Ramavarapadu circle from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The livestock products technology department was sanctioned Rs. 20 lakhs for development of new products and more products would be launched by the year-end, he said. Prof. Ranganadham said the bacon factory sold the products for a uniform price, but the dealers are permitted to sell at a higher price taking into consideration variable factors like cost of transportation, local competition and other overheads like rent of shop, etc.
