I would suggest buying the Barron's and Kaplan IELTS guides and doing them end to end 2-3 times. 

Plus there are websites where you can take multiple IELTS mock tests for a small fee, I would say a 2 month thorough preparation should put you close enough to the 7.5 range if not an 8.0.

Maybe English grammar books but I usually find them boring and never learned much grammar growing up consequently. India lo Wren and Martin baaga popular, not sure what's the equivalent in US.
