   in this case even magic is also art... and arts are necessary for society..even after couple of decades people still need entertainment.. may be the sources or medium might change..

lets assume you have had 3-4 sexual partners throughout your whole life.why? because its not easy to find more than that for an average guy, and because women are more choosy.

what if sex is turned into a free for all, and made compulsory for every living being? like no woman or man shall refuse another's sexual advances. How many will you have? 100? 200? its limitless no?

in this imaginary scenario sex is used to control the population, just like movies now are. People can live without that stupid entertainment option well enough if they adjust to the new reality, just like people live happily with just one sexual partner their entire life.

You are totally blowing it out of proportion here..its so hypothetical BTW no body is forcing any one to watch any art form...you got to see the success percentage in any art form its very less.. so people only watch what they like not every crap whatever it is presented to them..

everything is 'your choice' only man. who denied it. but what is the reality? p0rn and movie/tv show content and its derivatives will draw 90% of the internet traffic. without it, there's no internet.

what is this economy, man? so you make up sh1t, sell it successfully, and use earth's resources to make even more sh1t to sell. how can this be sustainable?

I'm just presenting my argument. movies are a complete waste of time for its makers, and its viewers, and is one of the most poisonous aspects of our 'economy'.

That is the beauty of democracy no one has unlimited powers..i do not say democracy is the best but it is the best option when compared to dictatorship or monarchy... the elections are to keep the power in check and give the chance to people to elect whom they like...another reason is if you think you have the capability even you can become the ruler..it happens only in a democracy

TamilNadu people didn't vote for Modi, but had to suffer demonetization. how is that democracy?

time better spent politicking 24/7 and getting those in power to work, than in watching a silly movie, or even a good one.

Advancement in technology will help finding new ways to get the things done with minimum natural resources... People of this present generation are not dumb.. they are not taking nature lightly...so much research is being done to spend the natural resources wisely and give them to the future generations...I rest my argument here..

human potential completely wasted by engaging in frivolous things like movies.

atleast if movies are intelligent, it would be nice. but almost all movies are dumb.

or if movies showed us great visuals, it would be nice, but movies are too taken in by their own technology, that visuals they consider great are to be enjoyed by 5-8yr olds.

we have rare movies that provide insight into human life, or provide us with questions beyond our understanding, or something that increases our capacity to imagine. All these movies are made at a fraction of $10m budget. Actually if movie industry is allowed to fail, making these movies would cost even less.

btw, if you didn't notice, Trump cut funding for r&d. and don't have hope on these companies to invent anything. It doesn't work that way.
