Medical billing question

Hi friends..visited doctor in first week of August ... Blood test cheyali annaru.

They couldn't draw blood while at doctor's office as nurses couldn't handle viens, so they sent me to lab corp. They give me a form and asked to  give that form at LabCorp counter.

LabCorp people took the form and Drew blood and conducted test.

Problem is they sent bills after insurance declined the bills. Bills where not covered by insurance because they where not pre certified by doctor. If doctors office certify that they are the ones who suggested the patient for blood test insurance will cover the bills in full. Aren't LabCorp supposed to send bills to hospital billing department instead of patient ?

I pushed doctors office to pre certify and after lot of explaining about pre certification to doctors office management staff  they called insurance and confirmed the pre certification thing.

Now insurance is processing the lab corp bill for more than a month.

Problem is Lab Corp says my bill is seriously past due date and they will send to collections. What to do now?

I am pretty sure someone did a mistake not sure insurance or doctor's office or Lab Corp ?
